CVE-2026-44484GHSA-W37P-236H-PFX3Severity: HIGH

What happened

Reportedly, versions 2.6.2 and 2.6.3 of the PyTorch Lightning PyPI package have been compromised and include functionality consistent with a credential harvesting mechanism. This is under investigation and has been tracked with IDs CVE-2026-44484 and GHSA-W37P-236H-PFX3. To assess your exposure, check if your systems are using either of these affected versions. If so, it is recommended to rotate all credentials and secrets, rebuild affected systems from a known clean state, and pin PyTorch Lightning to version 2.6.1.
