GHSA-6XX4-9WP6-65P7Severity: HIGH

An early warning has been issued regarding a vulnerability in the skilo package, versions 0.5.0 to 0.11.0, where the 'add' command improperly handles symbolic links, potentially allowing arbitrary local file disclosure from a malicious skill source.

What happened

Reportedly, the skilo package's 'add' command, which installs skills by copying the skill directory into the target skills directory, is under investigation for a critical vulnerability. This vulnerability appears to stem from the command's improper handling of symbolic links. A malicious skill source could exploit this to disclose arbitrary local files. The affected versions range from 0.5.0 to 0.11.0. It is recommended to upgrade to skilo version 0.11.1 or higher to mitigate this risk. For more detailed information, primary sources should be consulted.
